emo trippin’ – the good, the bad & the fab
I decided to stick to my PSS mantra and not buy any ciggies last night. The truth was, I couldn’t decide on Malboro, Davidoff or Cartier. Typically me.
Malboro makes me cough while Cartier is too expensive for my PSS tastebuds. I haven’t tried Davidoff in ages and I’m afraid I won’t like it as much. So… I decided to conduct “Operation Steal a Ciggie from Dad” instead.
Turns out, I only had to conduct “Operation Take a Ciggie from Dad”. I actually asked him where his ciggies were and I didn’t get any tongue lashing in return! How can a dad be so cool like that?!
Anyway he smokes Malboro Reds. I hate Malboro Reds!
Uh well… beggars can’t be choosers. Sigh.
I hate making decisions. Especially where money is concerned… Sigh.
I have finally decided upgrade my old cranky PC and about time too. It is almost 5 years old and the grouchy ol’ thing has been flashing the “blue screen of death” which was terribly irksome… Although it has served me very well over the years, it is time to find me a new playmate.
Decision made, I went ahead and bugged someone for the specifications (umm… self assembled pc), my new playmate ought to last me quite a long while… so all I need now is enough funds to finally get it done next month. Yay!
Then I decided along the way I wanted a bigger viewing screen, I wanted a 19″ monitor! Yes, I’m greedy… but that meant a higher cost. But whatever… gotta have them all new.
So here I was, totally looking forward to getting a new pc and spanking new 19″ monitor to boot… till someone decides to sell me the virtues of Mac… and guess what?! I got thoroughly mind-fucked. Mac mac mac… even my brother is encouraging me to get a mac although I’d rather have both a pc and a mac. Hrm. (Have I mentioned I am greedy?)
I’ve though of making that switch before so now I have a dilemma… the amount I’d have to spend on a new pc would cost the same for a 17″ eMac. And I’ve always wanted a Mac! Geez.
So umm.. ok. eMac shall do… till I decided to browse the Apple Store and looked at the iBook! My dream machine! Argh!!!
In short, now I can’t decide between the eMac and the iBook. Drat.
Meanwhile, my dad has laid his claim on my current playmate. So I have no turning back. Double drat.
I was dressed casually for work today… I reckon I looked more like a student than a staff… judging by the dirty looks those in office wear gave me this morning.
Well… I don’t care! I’m young! And I do look like a student! *shows middle finger*
My mission today was to accompany my sheeps for a local tour! Places we went to include Sentosa, Chinatown, Botanical Garden, Little India and finally, the Esplanade. Poor sheeps could only view the spitting Merlion from a distance. But they had fun… I guess… *shrugs nonchalantly*
Uh… Doris and I got disturbed at Chinatown by some people who really thought we were tourists. I adamantly refused to utter a single word cos I didn’t wish to give myself away. Who cares about lecherous old men… Bah.
And kids! Why are there so many school kids on a Tuesday? Noisy kids at Sentosa, then more noisy kids at Botanical Gardens… don’t those brats have school? *ponders*
Anyhow, it’s fun! Learnt new stuff today, enjoyed great sights and I had a great time acting as a tourist. Besides, I pretty much looked like one today… with my hat! Haha! Gotta love my hat…
Bunnie is on a major saving obsession – Project Scrimp and Save.
In a bold attempt to change her bunniehole, bunnie is actively seeking and recruiting cheerleaders…
Jobscope includes:
- Daily encouragements or nice words to urge her in her quest!- Informing her of any potential money making ventures since she is also a part-time miracle worker, turning dreams into reality! (Erm, sometimes…)
- Informing many others of her quest, generating more traffic to her site, more publicity and thus more potential people who can donate funds!
If the above seems a tad bit difficult…
- Introducing her to a sugga daddie, who must fit her wishlist by the way, thereby fulfiling her dreams of becoming a taitai (rich man’s wife)!
As payment for being such good cheerleaders, you will be awarded with a box of freshly imported, juicy carrots! Yum!
Note:
Do not attempt to entice her into situations where she’ll splurge or she will attack you with her rotten carrots.
However, it is perfectly acceptable and most welcomed if you wish to treat her to dinner/lunch/movies/coffee etc etc or simply donate some funds to her.
Be prudent, SAVE, every cent counts, aim for an obese bank account
- Don’t spend, it’s an evil habit
- Don’t buy books, borrow
- Don’t buy cds, download
- Don’t watch movies, download
- Don’t smoke, it corrupts the lungs and it’s a waste of money
- Don’t use nets, atm cards are evil

Project Scrimp & Save!!!
I refuse to be tempted by any situation where I’ll have to spend… I refuse!
PSS must succeed!!! It must! It must!
No luxuries till PSS is over and done with… Bleh.
Found this and this is what it says…
“elizabeth is deeply sensual. Her senses of touch, smell and sight are highly refined. And as for her taste? It’s impeccable. elizabeth is extremely discriminating – when she sees the best, she won’t ever settle for anything less. She would rather ‘go without’ than go for a poor substitute. But then that’s elizabeth all over. It really isn’t fair to call her ’stubborn as a mule.’ Mules are adaptable, easy going creatures who are always eager to please – or at least, they are by comparison to elizabeth. Unfortunately, for a person with such expensive preferences elizabeth is not a millionaire …or at least, not yet. You never know, it may just happen because elizabeths’ relationship with money is very interesting. She treats it with a curious mixture of disdain and respect. She never lets it stand in her way, yet she will go out of her way to get it when she needs to. elizabeth is a smart cookie and a shrewd operator. It is not though, merely in the field of finance that elizabeth tan displays intuitive wisdom.
elizabeth has an affinity with nature. She can make almost any plant flower and bear fruit. This is just as well because elizabeth has a hearty appetite. She likes her food as indeed she likes all her creature comforts. Fond though she is of all the above – and of all life’s little luxuries – there is one more source of endless fascination that elizabeth cannot resist. elizabeth doesn’t so much have a hearty appetite for sensual pleasure as a ravenous hunger for it! Which is funny really because you wouldn’t necessarily think it to look at her.
elizabeth likes to play it cool. elizabeth likes to pretend that nothing bothers her, fazes her or excites her. Like all Taureans though, elizabeth tan is a powerhouse of passion, as those who are lucky enough to know her -or to love her – will breathlessly testify.”
Comments: Hmm…
Nothing in life is constant. Changes occur at every moment. Things happen to us, wonderful or painful. People enter and leave our lives – some strangers, some casual acquaintances, and a few of them leave indelible impressions on our hearts. Most of these people we will not be able to hold on to. Memories of them, however, stay with us our entire lives, lying dusty and dear in the attic of our hearts.
Each moment presents an opportunity for us to take a mental and emotional photograph that we can store in our minds and hearts. If we live our lives consistently taking photographs filled with negative feelings, we’ll end up with an album full of unhappy images.
The memories we choose to make today can either summon a swell of regret or a surge of sweet nostalgia tomorrow. It’s therefore crucial to remind ourselves always to make good memories.
Our loved ones are simply on loan to us. They can be taken from us at any time. Think of the last time you were with a friend or a loved one. Was it memorable? Do you still remember the little details? Did you make an effort to capture a good memory? Or did some trifle or personal agenda get in the way?
Maybe you were too busy with something else to really listen to them. Perhaps you were so concerned with getting your own thing done that you slightly resented that they needed your help. Maybe you thought there would be another chance to show them that you love and care for them. Perhaps you were embarrassed that there were other people around. Maybe you were too tired to smile, too lazy to say a nice thing, or too busy with your work to make the moment special.
Memories are the only things we accumulate and keep throughout our lives. Isn’t it worthwhile to make an effort to consciously make good ones?
