emo trippin’ – the good, the bad & the fab
I’ve been a bad bad girl. So bad that I have to resort to doing a recap. Makes me even wonder why I’m spending money on the hosting and domain. *sighs and shakes my head*
So…
Valentine’s Day didn’t turn out half as bad! For one I received a stalk of rose! From the unlikeliest person of all! Uncle Joe! I swear no one would’ve guessed…
I was grumpily holed up in the fishtank until I heard the girls squealing in delight and looked out to see him walking around with an impish grin. He walked from table to table giving out roses to the ladies. Awww… so sweet!
While we worried for his mental health, being so untypical of him, we were all pleased with the pleasant surprise. He definitely brought a smile to our faces… And the smiles extended out from our department to the others.
Courtesy of the one who was busily bombing away in the Gents, I was tasked with baiting the smoker from Accounts to the usual joint. Imagine her surprise when I handed her the rose! And she had rushed out of her office thinking I was in desperate need of a stick. Heh.
Then there’s the joker I call HoneyBee… who decided to buy me a pair of Aldos (left side for Xmas & right side for Valentines) because I look good in it. *Ahem* And the reason we were there was to look at his shoes in the first place! It was his shoes which caused us much grief… as we went from one outlet to another (on different days) trying to find one with all the designs he like, in his size!
Eventually we found ourselves at the Wisma branch buying the original pair that we saw since they were the only ones with his size. Hmpf! Talk about a wild goose chase… Though it was pretty fun.
I finally own a pair of shoes in the 3 digit realm! It’s a bittersweet feeling… Pretty and precious shoes but oh the price tag! How my heart aches!
Anyway…
February was the month of the Lunar New Year and as per “tradition”, I’d move back home to my room with no tv and no comp. Fortunately I had a little companion and her god-sisters to keep me occupied! I must admit I actually had a very good time! I was amazed that my mum and brother though bemused, were accepting to my antics. More elaboration on another day perhaps…
And then there was the shocker. HoneyBee’s mother came over to my place for a Mahjong session! Err… awkward!
Oh and have I mentioned this? I got to watch my first “bitch fight”… It was kinda stinky after a while.
I'm just an oddball of complication.
